Description

A hearty and healthy bake featuring lean ground turkey and a medley of fresh vegetables, topped with melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 2 cups mixed fresh vegetables (bell peppers, zucchini, carrots)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  4. Stir in the mixed vegetables and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer the turkey and veggie mixture into your prepared baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

You can prepare the turkey and veggie mixture a day in advance and refrigerate it before baking.
