Description

An elegant dessert featuring layers of pound cake, glistening strawberries, and billowy whipped cream, perfect for summer gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pound pound cake, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup strawberry jam
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  2. Layer half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom of a trifle dish or individual cups.
  3. Spread half of the strawberry jam over the cake, followed by a layer of sliced strawberries.
  4. Add half of the whipped cream on top with a gentle hand.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  6. Finish with a dollop of whipped cream and garnish with mint leaves.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
