Description

A delightful dessert featuring a crunchy pretzel crust, creamy layer of whipped cream and cream cheese, topped with fresh strawberries in gelatin.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • 1 (6 oz) package strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups cold water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until well coated.
  2. Press the pretzel mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes until lightly golden, then set aside to cool.
  3. Mix softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in another bowl until smooth. Fold in whipped topping and spread over the cooled pretzel crust.
  4. Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water, then add cold water, mixing well.
  5. Fold in sliced strawberries and pour the mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until gelatin is firmly set.

Notes

Enhance flavors by preparing the dessert the night before your event. Consider using other seasonal fruits as a topping.
