Deliciously flaky Strawberry Danish pastries filled with a creamy blend of cheese and fresh strawberries, perfect for brunch or a sweet treat.

- 1 package of puff pastry
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick and cut it into rectangles, roughly 3×4 inches.
- Mix the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl until smooth and creamy.
- Fill the center of each pastry rectangle with a generous spoonful of the cream cheese mixture.
- Add sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese mixture.
- Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling and crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a glossy finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they puff up and turn golden brown.
- Cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Make the cream cheese mixture a day in advance. Experiment with different berries or add spices to the cream cheese for customization.
