- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Melt the butter over medium heat in a medium saucepan.
- Add in the brown sugar, cream, and a pinch of salt, stirring gently until combined.
- Boil this mixture for 5 minutes without stirring.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and chopped pecans.
- Drop generous spoonfuls of the caramel mixture onto prepared parchment paper.
- Let them cool and harden at room temperature before serving.
