Description

Indulge in the delightful combination of creamy cheesecake and sweet, cinnamon-kissed peaches wrapped in a fluffy donut.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup peaches, diced and cooked with sugar and cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan generously.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients in another bowl: buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Incorporate the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
  5. Fill each mold of the prepared donut pan about 2/3 full with batter.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for a few minutes, then move to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Prepare the filling by mixing cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  9. Create cavities in the cooled donuts using a small knife or donut corer.
  10. Fill each cavity with the cream cheese mixture and top with the cooked peaches.
  11. Finish with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top of each donut.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute buttermilk with a mix of whole milk and vinegar, and use coconut oil instead of butter.
