Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan generously.
- Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine the wet ingredients in another bowl: buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Incorporate the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
- Fill each mold of the prepared donut pan about 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for a few minutes, then move to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Prepare the filling by mixing cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Create cavities in the cooled donuts using a small knife or donut corer.
- Fill each cavity with the cream cheese mixture and top with the cooked peaches.
- Finish with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top of each donut.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, substitute buttermilk with a mix of whole milk and vinegar, and use coconut oil instead of butter.
