- 1 box orange cake mix
- 1 cup orange juice
- 3 large eggs
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 orange
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch cake pan by greasing it lightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the orange cake mix, orange juice, eggs, and vegetable oil. Mix until the batter is smooth and well-combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, smoothing out the top gently with a spatula.
- Bake according to package instructions, usually around 25–30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool for about 10 minutes.
- Poke holes all over the top with a fork to soak in the sweetened condensed milk.
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top of the poke cake.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until fluffy peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the top of the cake.
- Sprinkle the orange zest over the top for flavor and aroma.
- Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
