Instructions
- Melt the butter over medium heat in a large pot.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in the orzo, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
- Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and bring to a gentle boil.
- Reduce heat to low and add the shrimp, stirring gently to combine.
- Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and the orzo is tender.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve garnished with chopped parsley and lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
Make-ahead: Prepare the orzo ahead of time and add shrimp at the last minute. Avoid overcooking shrimp and stir the orzo frequently to prevent sticking.
