Description

A delicious and simple one-pot meal featuring succulent shrimp and creamy orzo pasta, infused with garlic and butter flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter over medium heat in a large pot.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Stir in the orzo, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and bring to a gentle boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low and add the shrimp, stirring gently to combine.
  6. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and the orzo is tender.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve garnished with chopped parsley and lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Make-ahead: Prepare the orzo ahead of time and add shrimp at the last minute. Avoid overcooking shrimp and stir the orzo frequently to prevent sticking.
