Description

A flavorful Italian Grinder Sandwich with layers of ham, pepperoni, salami, and provolone, all brought together with fresh toppings and a garlic butter spread.


Ingredients

  • 1 18-inch loaf French bread
  • 3 tbsp butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 8 oz ham, thinly sliced
  • 2 oz pepperoni, thinly sliced
  • 2 oz salami, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz provolone cheese, sliced
  • 8 oz shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced Roma tomato
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoncini
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the softened butter, grated parmesan, garlic powder, and salt in a small bowl.
  3. Slice the loaf of French bread horizontally into top and bottom halves.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture generously inside both halves of the bread.
  5. Layer the sandwich with ham, pepperoni, and salami.
  6. Add slices of provolone on top of the meats.
  7. Combine shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced pepperoncini, mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and garlic powder in a mixing bowl.
  8. Assemble the sandwich by spooning the salad mixture over one half and closing it with the other half of the bread.
  9. Wrap the sandwich tightly in aluminum foil and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  10. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Feel free to customize with different cheeses or meats based on your preferences. Serve with chips or a fresh salad.
