Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Drizzle olive oil into a large skillet and add the diced onion. Sauté until translucent.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, seasoning generously with salt and pepper. Cook until fully browned.
- Grease your baking dish, then layer the sliced potatoes evenly across the bottom.
- Spoon the ground beef mixture over the potatoes.
- Top with cream of mushroom soup, spreading it to cover the beef mixture.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over the top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for about 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes to achieve a golden-brown cheese crust.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
