Description

A comforting and cheesy casserole with shredded chicken, bacon, and a creamy ranch sauce that brings nostalgic flavors to your table.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 package ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup cooked pasta or rice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  2. Add the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and milk to a large bowl. Whisk until smooth to avoid lumps.
  3. Stir in the ranch seasoning mix until evenly distributed. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Fold in the shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar, and shredded mozzarella.
  5. If using cooked pasta or rice, gently stir into the mixture until evenly combined.
  6. Pour the combined mixture into the prepared casserole dish and spread it into an even layer.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the edges bubble and the top turns lightly golden. Broil for 1–2 minutes if desired.
  8. Let the casserole cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For added cheesiness, sprinkle an extra 1/4 cup cheddar on top before the end of baking. Casserole can be assembled in advance and refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
