Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Chocolate shavings (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the pie crust according to recipe instructions until golden brown. Allow to cool completely.
  2. Melt the chocolate and butter over low heat in a medium saucepan, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Beat the eggs and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl using an electric mixer on high speed for about 5 minutes until thick and pale.
  4. Combine the cooled chocolate mixture into the egg mixture while mixing on low speed. Add vanilla and mix until just combined.
