Description
Delicious jalapeño poppers filled with a creamy mixture of cheeses, spices, and crumbled bacon, topped with crunchy tortilla chips.

- 8 large jalapeño peppers (halved lengthwise and seeded)
- 7 oz cream cheese (at room temperature)
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (plus 2 tbsp for topping, freshly shredded)
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp fresh chives (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 5 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)
- 1/4 cup tortilla chips (crushed into 1/4-inch pieces)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the jalapeño peppers by slicing them in half lengthwise and removing the seeds.
- Mix the filling ingredients (cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chives, salt, pepper, and bacon) in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Fill each jalapeño half generously with the cheese mixture.
- Top with crushed tortilla chips and remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake on a baking sheet for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
- Cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
You can prepare the filling in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Air frying can also be used for a quicker cooking method.
