Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Prepare the dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until evenly mixed.
  3. Incorporate the wet ingredients: Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix using an electric mixer on medium speed for approximately 2 minutes.
  4. Add the boiling water carefully, stirring in until it’s a thin mixture.
  5. Divide and pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Cool the cakes in the pans for about 10 minutes, then remove them and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
