- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch casserole dish with olive oil or nonstick spray.
- Combine the shredded chicken, halved cherry tomatoes, minced garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, and olive oil in a large mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to the greased casserole dish, spreading it into an even layer.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the top, then add Parmesan.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden. For a crispier top, broil for 1–2 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh basil before serving.
Notes
For a lighter dish, use part-skim mozzarella. Can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking. Perfect for meal prep and easy reheating.
