Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the sugar and stir until blended smoothly.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, whisking until well combined, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring just until no flour streaks remain.
- Fold in the cherries and chocolate chips gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
