A comforting dish featuring jumbo pasta shells stuffed with seasoned ground beef and creamy ricotta, topped with marinara sauce and melted cheese.

- 12 Jumbo Pasta Shells
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 15 oz Ricotta Cheese
- 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
- 2 cups Marinara Sauce
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- Fresh Basil (optional), for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente, drain, and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant and translucent.
- Add ground beef and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned, crumbling the meat finely.
- Combine the cooked beef mixture with ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese in a mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Stuff each pasta shell generously with the beef and ricotta mixture.
- Place the stuffed shells snugly in the baking dish and pour the remaining marinara sauce over them.
- Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
For make-ahead options, prepare shells a day in advance and refrigerate. Add extra baking time if cooked from cold.
