Description

A comforting dish featuring jumbo pasta shells stuffed with seasoned ground beef and creamy ricotta, topped with marinara sauce and melted cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Jumbo Pasta Shells
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 15 oz Ricotta Cheese
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 cups Marinara Sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Fresh Basil (optional), for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant and translucent.
  4. Add ground beef and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned, crumbling the meat finely.
  5. Combine the cooked beef mixture with ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese in a mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.
  6. Spread a layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
  7. Stuff each pasta shell generously with the beef and ricotta mixture.
  8. Place the stuffed shells snugly in the baking dish and pour the remaining marinara sauce over them.
  9. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  10. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  11. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For make-ahead options, prepare shells a day in advance and refrigerate. Add extra baking time if cooked from cold.
