Description

Savor the delightful blend of smoky grilled mushrooms marinated in balsamic vinegar and garlic, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds mushrooms, sliced 1/4 inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade: in a mixing bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms to the marinade and toss gently, ensuring each piece is coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Skewer the mushrooms onto prepared skewers, aiming for 5-6 pieces per skewer.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and place the skewers on the grill.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until tender and slightly charred.
  6. Remove from the grill and serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

You can marinate mushrooms up to 24 hours in advance for enhanced flavor. If you don’t have a grill, use an air fryer or oven.
