- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Butter for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease your baking dish with butter.
- Cream the cream cheese and sugar in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Prepare the custard by whisking together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
- Layer the bread slices in the baking dish, spreading the cream cheese mixture between each layer.
- Pour the egg mixture over the layered bread, ensuring each slice is soaked.
- Top with cherry pie filling and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and firm in the center.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
