- 3/4 cup Buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Combine the self-rising flour and cold butter in a large mixing bowl.
- Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour in the buttermilk and stir gently until just combined.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead it just a few times until it holds together.
- Roll or pat the dough to about 1/2 inch thick and cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter or glass.
- Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
