- 496 grams packaged sugar cookie mix
- 240 grams soft caramels, unwrapped
- 60 millilitres heavy cream
- 225 grams semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven as directed on the sugar cookie mix package.
- Prepare the sugar cookie mix according to the package instructions, mixing until you achieve a smooth, buttery dough.
- Roll the dough into balls, about 1-1½ inches in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them a couple of inches apart.
- Bake as directed on the package until golden brown and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
- Melt the caramels and heavy cream in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Drizzle the silky caramel mixture over the top of each cookie after they have cooled slightly.
- Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth.
- Drizzle the melted chocolate over the caramel-topped cookies and allow them to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for 30 minutes to prevent spreading. Customize by adding sea salt or using different chocolates.
