Description

Delightful dessert combining crunchy cereal, creamy caramel, and rich chocolate, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 5 cups mini marshmallows
  • 5½ cups Rice Krispie cereal
  • 16 oz soft caramels (1½ 11oz bags, unwrapped)
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium-low heat.
  2. Add mini marshmallows and stir until melted and smooth.
  3. Mix in Rice Krispie cereal until coated.
  4. Press the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch pan.
  5. Prepare the caramel layer by combining soft caramels and heavy cream in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Spread the melted caramel over the Rice Krispie base.
  7. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds.
  8. Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer.
  9. Finish with chopped pecans, pressing gently to adhere.
  10. Set at room temperature, then slice into squares to serve.
