Description

Delightful dessert rolls filled with glutinous rice and sweet mango, drizzled with a rich coconut sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup glutinous rice
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 ripe mangoes
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
  • Toasted sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
  • Rice papers (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Steam the soaked rice in a cheesecloth-lined steamer over boiling water for 25-30 minutes.
  3. Prepare the coconut sauce by heating coconut milk, sugar, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Mix the cooked rice with the coconut sauce and let it absorb flavors for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Slice the mangoes into thin strips.
  6. Soften a rice paper sheet in warm water for 10-15 seconds.
  7. Fill the rice paper with sticky rice and mango slices.
  8. Roll the rice paper tightly around the filling.
  9. Chill the rolls in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  10. Serve with drizzled coconut sauce and garnished with mint leaves and sesame seeds.
