Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Almond Extract
  • 1 cup Strawberry Jam or Preserves
  • 1 cup Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare your dry ingredients by whisking together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream the softened butter with granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and extracts, then mix until combined.
  5. Combine wet and dry mixtures, mixing until just incorporated.
  6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  7. Shape and fill cookie shapes using cookie cutters, adding jam to half.
  8. Top with remaining cookie shapes and seal edges.
  9. Sprinkle with sprinkles if desired.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden around the edges.

Notes

These cookies can be frozen for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds to enjoy again.
