Description

Delightful heart-shaped pastries filled with creamy cream cheese and fresh strawberries, perfect for a cozy brunch or romantic breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of store-bought puff pastry
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface until it’s about 1/8 inch thick. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out heart shapes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each heart shape and top with chopped strawberries.
  5. Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling and crimp with a fork to seal.
  6. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  7. Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
  8. Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.

Notes

Use alternative fruits or add citrus zest for variation. For a quicker version, use an air fryer.
