Description

A savory and sweet pasta dish featuring browned sausage glazed in honey and garlic, served with al dente pasta and garnished with fresh parsley.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (your choice, like penne or spaghetti)
  • 1 lb sausage (Italian sausage, chicken or turkey sausage works)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain well.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the sausage, breaking it up as it cooks until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the honey and soy sauce, and sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired. Stir to combine.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, coating it thoroughly in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes to meld flavors.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet with a splash of water or broth.
