Transform your favorite burger into a delicious handheld taco with juicy beef, melted cheese, and fresh toppings.

- 4 flour tortillas (6-inch)
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon neutral oil (vegetable or canola)
- 4 slices American cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 8 to 12 dill pickle chips
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons dill pickle relish
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Whisk together mayonnaise, pickle relish, Dijon mustard, sugar, white vinegar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small bowl until smooth.
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions, about 4 ounces each, and place each on a tortilla.
- Season each patty with salt and pepper to taste.
- Preheat your skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and add a little oil.
- Place the tortillas beef-side down in the skillet and press down gently for about 2 to 3 minutes to sear the beef.
- Flip each taco to have the tortilla on the bottom, then top with a slice of American cheese. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until cheese melts.
- Remove the tacos from the skillet and repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Spread the burger sauce over each taco and top with lettuce, onion, and dill pickle chips. Serve warm.
Notes
Make the sauce a day ahead for better flavor! Customize toppings to your taste.
