Description

Transform your favorite burger into a delicious handheld taco with juicy beef, melted cheese, and fresh toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 flour tortillas (6-inch)
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil (vegetable or canola)
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 8 to 12 dill pickle chips
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons dill pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Whisk together mayonnaise, pickle relish, Dijon mustard, sugar, white vinegar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small bowl until smooth.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions, about 4 ounces each, and place each on a tortilla.
  3. Season each patty with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Preheat your skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and add a little oil.
  5. Place the tortillas beef-side down in the skillet and press down gently for about 2 to 3 minutes to sear the beef.
  6. Flip each taco to have the tortilla on the bottom, then top with a slice of American cheese. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until cheese melts.
  7. Remove the tacos from the skillet and repeat with remaining ingredients.
  8. Spread the burger sauce over each taco and top with lettuce, onion, and dill pickle chips. Serve warm.

Notes

Make the sauce a day ahead for better flavor! Customize toppings to your taste.
