- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1.5 to 2 pounds)
- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the chicken breasts and pat them dry.
- In a bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, whole grain mustard, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
- Stir in minced garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and chicken broth.
- Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker in a single layer.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2-2.5 hours.
- 15 minutes before serving, transfer chicken to a plate and cover with foil.
- Mix cornstarch with cold water into a slurry and stir into the sauce in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on high for 10-15 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the slow cooker and heat for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot over rice, mashed potatoes, or veggies, drizzled with the sauce.
