Description

Enjoy a comforting dish of tender chicken coated in a rich honey mustard sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1.5 to 2 pounds)
  • 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the chicken breasts and pat them dry.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, whole grain mustard, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
  3. Stir in minced garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and chicken broth.
  4. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker in a single layer.
  5. Pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2-2.5 hours.
  7. 15 minutes before serving, transfer chicken to a plate and cover with foil.
  8. Mix cornstarch with cold water into a slurry and stir into the sauce in the slow cooker.
  9. Cover and cook on high for 10-15 minutes until sauce thickens.
  10. Return the chicken to the slow cooker and heat for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  11. Serve hot over rice, mashed potatoes, or veggies, drizzled with the sauce.
