Description

A comforting mushroom lasagna with layers of creamy cheeses, savory mushrooms, and hearty sauce, perfect for gatherings or family dinners.


Ingredients

  • Lasagna Noodles
  • Mushrooms (button, cremini, or portobello)
  • Ricotta Cheese
  • Mozzarella Cheese (low-moisture)
  • Parmesan Cheese (freshly grated)
  • Marinara Sauce
  • Olive Oil
  • Garlic (minced)
  • Onion (finely chopped)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Fresh or dried basil
  • Fresh or dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté the onions and garlic in olive oil over medium heat until softened.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until golden brown.
  5. Prepare the ricotta mixture by combining ricotta cheese, salt, pepper, basil, and oregano in a mixing bowl.
  6. Layer the lasagna by spreading marinara sauce in a baking dish, followed by noodles, ricotta mixture, sautéed mushrooms, and mozzarella. Repeat layers and finish with marinara, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
  7. Bake covered with foil for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is golden.
  9. Cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
