Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the maple syrup, milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes in the baking dish, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing into bars.
Notes
For a richer taste, consider replacing vegetable oil with melted butter. You may also use whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
