- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 2–3 slices of jalapeños
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 4 pieces of brioche buns
- Vegetable oil (to taste)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken: In a large bowl, combine the chicken breasts with buttermilk. Cover and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare the coating: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
- Coat the chicken: Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and dredge in the flour mixture.
- Fry the chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry for about 6-8 minutes on each side.
- Make the jalapeño honey: In a small saucepan, combine honey and sliced jalapeños, heat over low for about 5 minutes.
- Assemble your sandwich: Place a fried chicken breast on a brioche bun, drizzle with jalapeño honey, and top with lettuce.
