Description

This creamy garlic bread dip is the perfect blend of roasted garlic, cream cheese, and spices, served warm with crunchy crostini.


Ingredients

  • 2 heads garlic (roasted)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil (for roasting)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 cup sour cream (can substitute Greek yogurt)
  • 4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated parmesan cheese (divided)
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 0.25 teaspoon pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • Crostini or crackers (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C).
  2. Prepare the garlic by trimming the tops off each head.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the exposed tops.
  4. Wrap each garlic head tightly in foil and roast for about 50 minutes.
  5. Cool the garlic for a few minutes.
  6. Mash the roasted cloves into a smooth paste.
  7. Combine cream cheese and sour cream, mixing until smooth, then add mozzarella, half of the parmesan, salt, and pepper.
  8. Spread the mixture into an 8×8-inch baking dish and top with remaining parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 28 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with crostini or crackers.

Notes

This dip can be made a few hours in advance; keep it covered in the fridge until ready to bake.
