Description

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup whole-milk ricotta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 0.5 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Pinch of salt
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 0.5 to 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons chili crunch
  • Flaky sea salt for garnish
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Arrange the sliced baguette on a baking sheet, brushing both sides lightly with olive oil.
  3. Bake for 7 to 9 minutes, flipping once, until golden and crisp.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the ricotta, heavy cream, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  5. In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the honey with red pepper flakes for 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Spread approximately 2 tablespoons of the whipped ricotta on each toasted baguette slice.
  7. Drizzle warm honey over the ricotta.
  8. Top with chili crunch, flaky sea salt, and fresh basil leaves.
  9. Serve immediately.
