Description

Crispy tofu tenders coated in a sweet and tangy honey mustard glaze, offering a plant-based alternative to traditional chicken tenders.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup for vegan option)
  • 1/4 cup mustard (Dijon or yellow)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or traditional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the pressed tofu block into strips, about an inch wide.
  3. Mix together the honey and mustard in a medium-sized bowl.
  4. Coat each tofu strip in the honey mustard mixture, then roll in breadcrumbs.
  5. Prepare the baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the coated tofu tenders.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. To reheat, use the oven at 350°F until warmed through.
