A delightful twist on classic pizza featuring garlic-infused naan topped with marinara and gooey mozzarella, finished with fresh basil.

- 4 pieces naan bread, store-bought or homemade
- 1.5 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 0.25 cup fresh basil leaves, torn or sliced
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 0.5 teaspoon sea salt
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Crushed red pepper flakes to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small mixing bowl, blend together the melted butter, minced garlic, olive oil, and sea salt.
- Brush each naan bread generously with the garlic butter mixture.
- Spoon 3 to 4 tablespoons of marinara sauce onto each naan, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce on each naan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with torn basil leaves. Add freshly ground black pepper and crushed red pepper flakes if desired.
- Allow to cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
Make ahead by preparing the garlic butter mixture and marinara sauce a day in advance. For a smoky flavor, try grilling instead of baking.
