Description

Indulge in these rich Double Chocolate Salted Caramel Cookies, featuring a soft gooey center filled with luscious salted caramel and a sprinkle of sea salt on top.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper for effortless transfer.
  2. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mix to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chunks and scoop a tablespoon of dough.
  7. Place a small dollop of salted caramel in the center, sealing it in with the dough.
  8. Arrange the cookies on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between them.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and the centers remain soft.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Make sure your butter is at room temperature for a creamy consistency. You can prepare the dough in advance and keep it chilled in the fridge.
