Ingredients

  • 23 pounds Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts or Thighs
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup (condensed)
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth (or Vegetable Broth)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 12 tablespoons Non-Alcoholic Cooking White Wine Substitute or extra chicken broth
  • 1 packet Dry Gravy Mix (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • Black Pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Thyme or Poultry Seasoning
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour or Cornstarch (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Crockpot: Lightly spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Lay the Chicken: Arrange your chicken breasts (or thighs) at the bottom of your crockpot.
  3. Whisk the Gravy Mixture: In a bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and the non-alcoholic wine substitute.
  4. Season It Up: Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and thyme into your gravy mixture.
  5. Pour Over Chicken: Drizzle the gravy mixture evenly over the chicken.
  6. Set and Forget: Put the lid on your slow cooker and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or on HIGH for 3-4 hours.
  7. Shred the Chicken: Remove the chicken and shred it with forks.
  8. Thicken the Gravy (optional): Whisk cornstarch into a cup of hot liquid and return it to the crockpot.
  9. Return and Serve: Fold the shredded chicken back into the gravy and warm through.
  10. Taste and Adjust: Before serving, taste the gravy and adjust seasonings as needed.
