- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- 2 tsp olive oil for sautéing
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté diced onion and minced garlic until the onion turns translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add ground beef, breaking it up and cooking until browned, about 7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Lower the heat to a simmer, stir in heavy cream, and add reserved pasta water until reaching desired consistency. Mix in grated Parmesan until melted.
- Fold in cooked penne pasta, ensuring all pasta is coated with sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan or fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Consider adding sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or different cheese varieties for customization. Prepare the sauce a day in advance for quicker cooking.
