Description
Sweet and salty pretzel treats coated in rich, buttery toffee, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 16 ounces mini pretzel twists
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup salted butter, sliced into pats
- 5 tablespoons light corn syrup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- Spread the mini pretzel twists evenly across the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they don’t overlap.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the light brown sugar, sliced salted butter, and light corn syrup. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a gentle boil.
- Allow the mixture to boil for 3–4 minutes without stirring to develop the rich toffee flavor.
- Pour the boiling toffee mixture evenly over the pretzels on the baking sheet.
- Using a spatula, gently toss the pretzels to ensure thorough coating in the toffee.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10–15 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Remove from the oven and let the pretzels cool completely on the baking sheet.
- Once cooled and hardened, break apart any clusters and serve or store in an airtight container.
Notes
These pretzels can be made ahead of time and stored for several days. They taste even better when allowed to sit to let flavors deepen.
