A delicious grilled sandwich combining smoky chicken, creamy avocado, and melted cheddar on toasted sourdough.
Ingredients

- 4 tablespoons chipotle adobo sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 2 slices sourdough bread
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 1 cup melted cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat.
- Whisk together the chipotle adobo sauce, ketchup, honey, and vinegar in a mixing bowl.
- Toss the chicken in the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
- Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side until cooked through.
- Layer the grilled chicken on a slice of sourdough, followed by avocado and melted cheddar.
- Top with another slice of sourdough and grill until toasted and cheese is melted.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Make the marinade the night before for enhanced flavor. You can also use an air fryer for healthier cooking.
