Description

A delicious grilled sandwich combining smoky chicken, creamy avocado, and melted cheddar on toasted sourdough.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tablespoons chipotle adobo sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup melted cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat.
  2. Whisk together the chipotle adobo sauce, ketchup, honey, and vinegar in a mixing bowl.
  3. Toss the chicken in the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side until cooked through.
  5. Layer the grilled chicken on a slice of sourdough, followed by avocado and melted cheddar.
  6. Top with another slice of sourdough and grill until toasted and cheese is melted.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Make the marinade the night before for enhanced flavor. You can also use an air fryer for healthier cooking.
