Description

Indulge in the delightful combination of creamy cheesecake, tart apples, and sweet caramel, all encased in a buttery graham cracker crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups diced tart apples
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Press mixture into the bottom of the baking dish to form a crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 3/4 cup sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until blended.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Fold in the diced apples and ground cinnamon.
  6. Pour cheesecake mixture over crust and spread evenly.
  7. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top and swirl it into the cheesecake batter.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  9. Cool to room temperature and then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing.
  10. Cut into squares and serve chilled with additional caramel sauce if desired.

Notes

These bars can be made a day in advance and stored in the fridge. For a fun twist, try adding nuts or chocolate chips.
