- 1 pound of carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of water
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the carrot sticks, stirring gently to coat them in the melted butter.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar over the carrots and season with salt and pepper.
- Add water to help create the glaze.
- Cook for 10-15 minutes until the carrots are fork-tender, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.
- Serve warm.
