Description

Instructions

  2. Brown the butter: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter, stirring frequently for about 5-7 minutes until golden and nutty.
  3. Combine sugars and butter in a mixing bowl.
  4. Incorporate eggs and vanilla, beating in one egg at a time until well blended.
  5. Whisk dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
  6. Mix wet and dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk until just combined.
  7. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool completely before glazing.
  9. Make the glaze by whisking maple syrup and powdered sugar until smooth, then drizzle over cooled bars.
