Description
A delicious blend of barbecue chicken and melty cheese in a crispy, buttery grilled sandwich.
Ingredients

- 2 slices of bread (white, whole grain, or sourdough)
- 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Combine the shredded chicken with the barbecue sauce until well mixed.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Heat your skillet over medium heat, and place one slice of bread, butter-side down, into the skillet.
- Layer half of the shredded cheese on top of the bread.
- Add the BBQ chicken mixture, spreading it evenly.
- Cap it with the remaining cheese.
- Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
- Cook for 2-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until crispy and cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.
Notes
For added crunch, consider using an air fryer. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
