Description

Deliciously chewy banana oatmeal bars that combine the natural sweetness of bananas with wholesome oats, perfect for breakfast or snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1½ cups mashed bananas (approx. 3 bananas)
  • ½ cup nut butter (peanut, almond, or cashew)
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×9 inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, nut butter, rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and salt. Stir until fully blended.
  3. Transfer the mixture into the lined baking pan, using a spatula to flatten it evenly.
  4. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, watching for the edges to turn golden brown.
  5. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for maximum sweetness. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
